Veneers

in Toccoa, Georgia

Ready for a brighter, more uniform smile? Dental veneers are a quick, transformative solution for teeth that are chipped, discolored, uneven, or slightly misaligned. At Toccoa Falls Family Dental and Implant Center, Dr. Matt St. George custom-designs each veneer to match your ideal look—so you can enjoy a stunning, natural-looking smile that’s made to last.

Why Do I Need Veneers?

Even healthy teeth can have flaws that affect your confidence. Whether it’s a single front tooth or your full smile, veneers can correct chips, deep stains, small gaps, or worn-down enamel. They offer a durable and highly aesthetic option for those who want long-lasting results with minimal dental work. Veneers are often part of a cosmetic makeover but can also be a stand-alone solution for subtle improvements.

The Benefits of Veneers

Natural-Looking Results

Veneers are crafted from high-quality porcelain that mimics the translucency and texture of natural teeth. Each one is color-matched and shaped to complement your smile seamlessly.

Durable and Long-Lasting

With proper care, veneers can last 10–15 years or more. Porcelain is highly resistant to staining, so you can maintain a bright smile without constant whitening treatments.

Quick Smile Transformation

Veneers can dramatically enhance your smile in just 2–3 visits. It’s one of the fastest and most effective ways to achieve a balanced, symmetrical, and confident look.

Here's How
It Works

Personalized Consultation

Dr. St. George will start by discussing your goals and evaluating your teeth to make sure veneers are the right fit for you. He’ll walk you through different shape and shade options, take digital impressions, and plan out your new smile design. This ensures you’re part of the creative process from the very beginning.

Prep and Temporary Veneers

During your second visit, we’ll gently prepare the surface of your teeth by removing a small amount of enamel—just enough to ensure a perfect fit. Temporary veneers are placed while your permanent ones are being custom-made in the lab, so you’ll leave with a confident smile even during the process.

Final Veneer Placement

Once your permanent veneers are ready, Dr. St. George will bond them securely in place, making any final adjustments for fit and comfort. You’ll leave the office with a bright, beautiful smile that’s ready to shine—no recovery time needed.

FAQs

Are veneers right for me?

Veneers are an excellent choice for patients with healthy teeth and gums who want to improve the shape, color, or alignment of their smile. They’re ideal for addressing cosmetic issues like chips, discoloration, minor spacing, and irregular tooth shapes. However, they’re not a fix for large cavities or severe alignment issues. During your consultation, we’ll assess your oral health and help you decide if veneers—or another cosmetic treatment—will best achieve your goals.

Do veneers damage my natural teeth?

To place veneers, we do need to remove a very thin layer of enamel—usually less than a millimeter—from the front of each tooth. This step ensures that the veneer lays flat and looks natural, not bulky. While this process is irreversible, it’s minimal and safe when done by an experienced dentist like Dr. St. George. We always preserve as much natural structure as possible to protect your long-term oral health.

How long do veneers last?

With good oral hygiene and routine dental visits, porcelain veneers can last well over a decade. They’re stain-resistant and strong, but like natural teeth, they can still chip if exposed to trauma or constant grinding. We’ll give you tips on how to care for your veneers—like wearing a nightguard if you clench your teeth—and help you keep your results looking beautiful for years to come.

What’s the difference between veneers and crowns?

While both veneers and crowns can enhance the appearance of a tooth, they serve different purposes. Veneers only cover the front surface of the tooth and are mainly used for cosmetic improvements. Crowns, on the other hand, cover the entire tooth and are used when more structural support is needed—such as after a root canal or for a tooth with extensive damage. We’ll help you determine which option is best based on your dental needs and goals.
